Social dancing is by far the best way to fulfill some of our basic needs as humans"
I am a son, a father, grandfather, also a teacher, a friend, a lover...
so many roles in our busy lives, that we get easily lost in-between.
Who are we? How do we see ourselves? How do others see us?
Dancing we find a little more about that. How?
The cultural set and our ideas contribute with an important part, but it is how we feel and behave towards the everyday situations that defines the present us - without wishful-thinking.
Accepting new challenges is a way to face different sets and observing new sensations - Dancing is great for that, as we have the freedom to express through our bodies.
Dancing, we live in the present: aware of what we are feeling here and now. Certainly, a great exercise to easing worries about the future, to get aware of ourselves and others, and to live with more consciousness, and (in the end) defining ourselves a little better.

happy people
Moving from Lisboa to Oslo in 2019 was a great change for me.
Here I found a culture of agreement, trust and påståelig.
So adapting was easy - though, a positive attitude helped a lot!
Also, taking the present as an everyday present to enjoy, learning and aware of all the new feelings and absorbing the new learnings.
Dance In Norway results from a dream to connect peoples in social dance events.
Great social dance experiences with the happy energy of afro-latin rhythms
like salsa, casino, bachata, semba, kizomba, urban kiz, zouk and others
Everyone has something special. I love to teach and watch as students evolve:
dancing and personally
Most people start by taking a simple class and
soon finding themselves in a completely different routine,
changing habits, new friends and becoming more open and social.
I have danced for more than two decades, taught in so many different contexts, audiences and countries,
observing this wonderful metamorphosis in first hand.
I also adopted dance as a personal development tool, and I keep finding the same simple happiness
in dance classes with the magic blend of energy, inspiration and learnings.

For me dancing is not just a fun and healthy activity. It is an expression of our identity as a group, a way to connect to ourselves and to others, reenforcing our bonds and a reminder
of our nature and humanity.
I truly believe that some ideas can make a difference, and that we all have a role to play.
Doing everyday what we believe in with passion, honor and honesty, we get a little closer to
this idea of wise person,
enjoying every little bit of the present.

I was born last century in Lisbon, where I grew up and fell in love with the hils, the fado, the tiles and the sun. Gazing the Tagus River while it blends with the Atlantic Ocean, I learned to appreciate the simple moments observing the infinite horizon.
So faithful to the little sardine and the sweet Pastel de Nata, that perhaps it is why I became short and intense.
I went to a nuns' college and that's why I have faith;
and I grew up in a Arts School that I can still call Home,
and that's why I'm serene.
Daughter of amazing parents, who raised me
with team-work, so I understand its value.
A dancer before I can remember myself as a person,
got me rhythm and taught me
the importance of listening.
I studied Art and Design, where I realised the beauty on finding amazing solutions for great challenges.
I decided to work as an Artist because I love to find balances between emotion and function:
like using magic to connect opposing magnets.
